Add Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to a PDF using the Plustek Book Pavilion

Plustek Book Pavilion:

Application: Plustek OCR (click in the drop-down menu)

This will automatically add OCR when you click transfer after the scan is completed.

There is another option but it will take a while:

• Scan article as normal
• Click Transfer
• Open File in Adobe Acrobat
• Go to the column on the right side and click “Scan & OCR”
• Go to the new bar at the top (Row that says “Scan & OCR”)
• Click “Enhance”
• Click “Scanned Document”

• Make sure the drop-down “Pages” says “All Pages” and that “Recognize text” is checked.

• Click “Enhance”
• Exit out of document
• Click “Yes” when it asks to save document
• Upload document to email/Alma
